Tapestry Choral Collective invites applications from professional singers for its inaugural season. We seek distinctive solo voices with exceptional musicianship, strong ensemble skills, and a commitment to chamber-level collaboration.

Auditions are open to singers in Minnesota and nationwide. Live auditions (in St. Paul, Minnesota) and recorded auditions (for singers outside the region) will be reviewed concurrently. The ensemble is proudly based in Minneapolis–St. Paul and reflects the region’s rich singing culture, while also engaging select artists from across the country to form a nationally representative, artist-driven collective.

The inaugural season will consist of three projects in 2027 (January, April, and June), two unaccompanied programs and one Bach and Handel project with professional chamber orchestra. Each project spans approximately seven days. Compensation will be competitive with national professional standards.

Audition Components

All applicants must prepare/submit the following materials:

  • A current CV or resume outlining your singing experiences and a current bio
  • Two contrasting songs or arias that demonstrate the quality, flexibility, and artistry of your voice as a solo singer. To be considered for the Bach/Handel program, one selection must be pre-1750, preferably by J.S. Bach or G.F. Handel.
  • Two vocalises demonstrating the range, color, and natural beauty of your voice.
